    Beer Rebranding (Removing Beer Labels)

    The Cold Soaking Method
The cold soak method is where you leave you beer in the fridge submersed in cold water. This can take anywhere from a couple of hours to a couple of days depending on the strength of the glue used. A quick way of doing this is empty out your vegetable crisper, fill it with water then submerse your beers. Then wait for the labels to come off.

    The Hot Soaking Method
Hot soaking beer bottles to remove labels is recommended if you are working with empty beer bottles. In this method bottles are left to soak extremely hot water (take care not to burn yourself). The water should contain some form of detergent to help dissolve the label glue.

    The Steaming Method
Labels can also be removed using the steaming method. This is where a bottle is held over a jet of steam from a kettle till the label can be removed. Again care must be taken.

    Razor Blade Method
A razor blade can also be used to scrape the label off but takes a great deal of time and patience. This method is not recommended for obvious reasons.

    Other Ways?
There are also other commercial solutions to removing labels such as Oxiclean which is said to remove beer labels almost instantly with just a few spays.

    Conclusion
In our opinion the cheapest and safest way to remove labels is submerged in a fridge crisper full of water over night. You may find that some labels are easier to remove more than others.
